The vines are led on wires with a height of 1.60 meters allowing a better distribution and exposure of the foliage and the grapes. The pruning method is the Guyot, named after its inventor. In order to take advantage of modern and environmentally friendly techniques, we prefer plowing to keep the soil soft and clean rather than the massive use of weedkillers. We never use chemical fertilizers. Finally, we strive to carry out a reasoned fight against the many parasites of the vine. Through pruning, plant selection and green harvesting, we control yields.

Le Marselant

It is known for certain that one of the Cabernet grape varieties, probably Franc, was already famous at the time of Cardinal de Richelieu and was widely planted in the Bordeaux region.

Cabernet Sauvignon was known later in the 19th century.

Cabernet Sauvignon is known for its qualities as a strong and colorful wine suitable for ageing, its stumps are narrow, its bunches are longer than they are wide and the grapes are round and small.

Cabernet Franc is known to be less robust than Sauvignon. Its strains are very vigorous, its clusters very small with small berries.

Le Sauvignon

It seems impossible to find the origin of Sauvignon. The manuscripts of Abbé Bellet (1736) mention the existence of Sauvignon in Bordeaux. A few plantations are known near Bourges and Châteauroux as well as in Alsace.

It gives a very good full-bodied wine, with a beautiful golden color and a very particular aroma. Its strains are vigorous, the bunches are small and short, the grapes are tight and irregular.

Syrah

We do not know, here too, the exact origin of the plant. Some believe she is from Schiraz, a province of Faristan in Persia, while others believe she is from Syracuse. What we do know is that Syrah has existed for a long time in the northern regions of the Côtes du Rhône.

In recent years, it has been found in all vineyards.

Syrah wines can be red or rosé, vinified in rosé.

The aromas are very fruity. The vines are quite vigorous, the bunches are long and the berries are of medium size.
